In 2002, Wiley decided to put on a rave in Watford. It was complete and unadulterated carnage, a rough and ready event that traded off set times and organisation in exchange for an explosive and unpredicatable club night where MCs had to fight to get on stage so their bars could live or die by the young crowd's reaction.
Thirteen years and one rebirth later, Eskimo Dance is definitely way better organised, but at its heart it is still a mad bastard, and on Saturday October 10th it hits Room Six in London's O2 for one of it's biggest bashes yet. We're talking a room one line up of Wiley, JME, Jammer, Shorty, P Money, Ghetts, Big Narstie, D Double E, Frisco, Footsie and more. Safe.
Now, Noisey are proud to announce that we'll be taking over room two, where we'll be celebrating the history and the future of the grime instrumental, guided by DJ sets from producers and grime tastemakers alike. You can expect to hear anything from 'Pulse X" to Preditah to the latest Oil Gang drop - it'll be a lesson. And now we can confirm that the line up will be:
and your trusted Noisey DJs
So that's settled. You're coming. You can go buy your tickets for October's Eskimo Dance right here.
