Petition: Bring Back 'The Weakest Link' With Rappers in Every Single Episode

This is a very important public service announcement.

The Internet is Written in Ink delves into musicians' HTML attics, searching to see what remains of their earliest forays online. Sometimes there's astonishing early material that has only been heard by a handful of people. Sometimes it's just them being a dick in the comments section of Gawker.

Hiya internet! I’ve got something really important to show you. It’s not Lou Reed, #UKStorm, or Revolution related. You've seen enough of that already. Instead, it’s a video of Anne Robinson and a bunch of rappers playing everyone’s favourite televised game show, The Weakest Link!

Here’s a link to an episode of The Weakest Link.

I could write 500 words about why Anne Robinson’s “Gin and Juice” and “homie” references would be declared racist by Twitter if this was aired in 2013, and whether or not I think Rev Run is a pompous asshole. But whatever, who cares? And TBH, I’m still reeling from the fact that B-Real doesn’t know the answer to 3 multiplied by 4. And that Rev Run thinks Mount Vesuvius is in England. Oh, and every single time Anne Robinson tried to cuss out a contestant and got ethered by a witty retort from Nate Dogg. Anyway…

Instead, let me just propose an idea. TV Networks, if you’re reading, lets make The Weakest Link… With Rappers happen on a daily basis. Somebody get an intern to make a Kickstarter, craft a press release, start a petition. None of you owe me anything, but this pipe dream is something I think we can all get behind. Imagine, Danny Brown, Riff Raff, Tyler, Chief Keef and at least six other rappers all in a room with Anne Robinson, on TV, every evening, at dinner time. It would be amazing.

Oh shit, I probably shouldn't have said anything, we should do this on Noisey.
