Frank Friction: "Faith" (Feat Casual Of Hiero & Larry Anglin)

Bootie Brown from The Pharcyde rekindled his Frank Friction alias to take us back to church.

So the classic boom-bap hip-hop of old has had its phoenix-like rebirth in the last semester. Joey Badass and his Beast Coast chums are spitting with the eloquence of Nas while they bask in the modern day tech of the iPad. But even they have to bow at the tabernacle of The Pharcyde and A Tribe Called Quest who pioneered the sound back in the 90s.

Funnily enough, Bootie Brown, the Pharcyde patron, has rekindled his Frank Friction alias to take us back to church. "Faith" is based upon sturdy soul sample foundations with the kind of hip-hop steez that Kanye tried to emulate way, way back on The College Dropout. It lists the help of fellow original Hieroglyphics member, Casual alongside Larry Anglin and we're glad to share it with your yearning ears.
