The Attack On London Bridge: Live Updates

Seven people are dead and at least 48 more are injured.

LONDON – Seven people are dead and at least 48 injured after a white van plowed into pedestrians on London Bridge on Saturday night, before three men stabbed revellers at nearby Borough Market, an area packed with bars and restaurants.

Police killed all three attackers, who were reportedly wearing fake suicide vests, within eight minutes of the first emergency call. Twelve people were arrested on Sunday in a block of flats in the Barking neighbourhood of east London in connection with the attack on Sunday. As yet, no group has claimed responsibility.

This is the third terrorist attack on the UK in three months. Saturday's events mirrored a similar assault on London in March when a man drove into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge, before stabbing a police officer guarding the Houses of Parliament. That attack left five people dead. In May, a bomb at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester killed 22 and injured over 100.
