Thanks to a Netflix syndication, Channel 4's teen dramedy The End of the F***ing World, which initially aired on the UK network back in October, has recently met with global success. With that, its folky soundtrack – the first official score by Blur's Graham Coxon – has also been getting it's fair share of attention.So much so that Coxon is planning on releasing the soundtrack in full on 26 January, and I think that's an objectively nice thing. Today, he's put out the first song from the OST, "Walking All Day." It is, in a word, lovely. An upbeat acoustic guitar takes the lead (a point of reference might be Feist circa, say, The Reminder, though with more of a country-style edge), with cute, clumsy lyrics about being happy spending time with the person you're into ("ignore me, I'm being sappy") – nothing more, nothing less.
