Gorgon City's "Go All Night" Gets a Whole New Kind of Bassline

Aquilo's remix of the Jennifer Hudson featuring tune shows the UK stars how to slappa-da-bass

Gorgon City's hit single "Go All Night," ft. Jennifer Hudson was released a couple weeks ago and, since then, everyone and their mom's been getting down to their poppy bassline house vibes. As a bunch of underground-leaning curmudgeons, you'd expect us to be miffed about our favorite niche genre going big-time, but the tune is so good that we can't do anything but wiggle our hips a little as our high-brow tastes descend into norm-core.

The fine lads of Gorgon City trekked out to the UK's Lake District to pick Aquilo on remix duties, and the emerging duo have brought a whole new meaning to 'bassline' with their take on the tune. It's got a leisure-suit worthy quotient of lounge emanating from the bass, like, actual bass, while staccato synths punctuate the space around it and Jennifer Hudson drops house vocals like it's Chicago in the 80s.

Aquilo have been gathering buzz recently with a swirly, evocative brand of indie-tronic and this remix highlights their ability to keep things dancefloor ready while maintaining organic elements.
