Baby Driver is probably going to be fun as hell. The action-comedy movie is directed by Edgar Wright, the man behind Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. It's shot in Atlanta. It stars Kevin Spacey, Jamie Foxx, and Jon Hamm; Flea and Sky Ferreira get supporting roles. There will be a bunch of fast cars. The trailer they're running for it on cable right now is one of the best things on TV. Extremely busy music man Danger Mouse helmed the soundtrack, his second major project of 2017 after the fascinating Resistance Radio. I am absolutely here for all of that."Chase Me" is the first original track we've heard from the soundtrack, a fiery, fraying four minutes with Big Boi and Run The Jewels. Danger Mouse adapted the beat from The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion's "Bellbottoms," the movie's opening track. You can pick apart the braggadocio all you want, but it pretty much boils down to El-P spitting the word "Baby" in the most dismissive and amusing way possible."As I was finishing up the movie and putting the 29-track soundtrack together, Brian [Danger Mouse] had the idea to do a remix based on the opening track of the movie; 'Bellbottoms' by the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion," Wright said in a statement. "It's apt that we used this song as a jumping off point as the nascent idea of Baby Driver came to me in a dream after listening to 'Orange' a hell of a lot when I was 21. And on top of that both Killer Mike and Big Boi make brief cameos in this Atlanta-set movie, drinking with Kevin Spacey's crime boss at a fancy ATL eatery. I'm thrilled how 'Chase Me' turned out, a great collision of five of my favorite artists."Danger Mouse also shared some details about the song's creation. "Edgar showed me a cut of the movie last year and I loved the Atlanta connection," he said. "I've been doing more Hip Hop stuff recently, so I bugged both RTJ and Big Boi to jump on it.
