Holy Ghost!'s Throwback Remix Album Will Give You A Disco Boner

Featuring remixes of Moby, MGMT, Phoenix, Blood Orange, and this rework of Hanni El Khatib.

Any disco fan will tell you that just hearing the words "Holy Ghost!" is enough to get you hornier than a cougar in a college bar. Since 2007, the Upper West Side duo have been putting their own libido-enhancing spin on everyone from Moby to Blood Orange, often reproducing every element of the song with original instrumentals. Now, they're releasing fifteen of their best remixes in a stand-alone album titled Work For Hire. Bandmate Alex Frankel describes the process of listening through the album as like looking at their own musical timeline.

"You can hear us developing as producers," he explains. "Having fun, experimenting, and—above all else—working. This album is a scrapbook of our work and time together."

To celebrate their musical memoir, the two are debuting a new track, an extended remix of Hanni El Khatib's "Two Brothers", and announcing a new US all-vinyl tour (yes, really, vinyl not 128kbps mp3s, kids). Brooklyn, Philly, DC, Dallas, and Austin are on the calendar right now, with more dates to be announced shortly. If none of them fit your schedule, you can also catch Holy Ghost! on tour with Empire of the Sun.
