Watch Alex Banks' New Video for "All You Could Do" Feat. Elizabeth Bernholz

The british producer's new EP drops today on Modeselektor's Monkeytown label.

How little things can have a big impact, how the smallest things hold life together, and how warmth and coldness are mutually dependent—all this is is being illustrated in Alex Banks' new music video for "All You Could Do." The Thomas Brown-directed clip reflects observations of daily life, and how electricity and the lack thereof has an impact on people: glowing light bulbs illuminate cities full of cold tower blocks and row houses.

The Brighton-based producer Alex Banks was just recently signed to Modeselektor's Monkeytown label, and his new EP drops today—with his full album Illuminate following at the end of the month. This record should be working well for fans of abstract electronic music just as for those who like organic guitar picks. Vocals come from Banks friend Elizabeth Bernholz aka Gazelle Twin, whose singing voice strongly resembles that of Portishead singer Beth Gibbons—making it a perfect match for Banks' meandering, machine-driven rhythm progressions.

His All You Could Do EP is out today, together with another new track, "Phosphorus", and a Phon.o remix of the title track.
