No City Is Safe from Danny MacAskill's BMX Parkour

Hail to the chief.
Screencap via

BMX biker Danny MacAskill demonstrates a tour de force of mind and muscles by conquering the rooftops of Gran Canaria in a new trick vid from longtime collaborators Mount Creative. To turn the Spanish city into MacAskill's playground, they enlisted the help of Vision Ramps, who have built almost-sculptural setups in the woods and an LED-infused pipe, among other things. Mount Creative uses drones, cranes, steadicams, cable cams, gimbals, and a GoPro to capture every possible angle of MacAskill's flips, hops, and jumps. He careens through the city's candy-colored rooftops to the soothing-yet-energizing strumming of The Dodos' "Fools," a welcome break from EDM-heavy biking and skating vids that match the Mediterranean atmosphere.

Mount Creative has worked with MacAskill before on such stunning displays of showmanship as the rock n' roll-themed This Is Drop n' Roll, hybrid bike vid / decay porn Epecuén, and his legendary Solar Eclipse Ride. It's incredible to think that one person on a bike can traverse terrain that would be impossible for nearly anyone else, even the most talented parkour practitioners. Best not to think about it too hard, though, and let his moves speak for themselves.
