Like most people, DJs and producers have specific songs tied to events throughout their lives. In Crate Expectations, we extract a playlist from their memories to tell their story. This week's subject: Josh Wink.

What's the first song you ever loved?
Stevie Wonder's "Sir Duke." I was seven years old and I played the seven inch again and again!

What are the first two songs you ever mixed together?
I have no idea! However, it could have been something silly like mixing the Jackson's "Blame It On the Boogie" and The Cure's "Let's Go to Bed."

What is your worst guilty pleasure song?
Wham's "Everything She Wants."

What song have you had on repeat in the last month?
Not one song but Beck's Morning Phase LP. Repeat!

Which track of your own do you love the most?
"Higher States of Consciousness."

What track of your own do you hate the most?
"Higher States of Consciousness."

What track are you most excited to drop in your Cocoon Amnesia set?
Not sure. It always depends on my spontaneity with the vibe of the crowd. But, I'm enjoying dropping my new track "Talking To You."

What's your favourite track that you wish worked in a set?
If I like something, I play it. I try not to 'wish' but simply 'do.'

What's the last song you want to hear before the lights go on?
I have a bunch of classics I like to close a set with before the lights go on. But for now, these two come to mind: Lil' Louis' "French Kiss" and Donna Summer's "I Feel Love."

Keep an eye out for Josh Wink's new single "Talking To You" due out on Ovum Recordings September 29th, and catch him play at Cocoon Amnesia on September 8th.
