Since June, millions of activists have taken to Brazil's streets to protest rising bus fares, the costs of hosting the 2014 World Cup, and Rio Governor Sérgio Cabral Filho. Violent black bloc anarchists have emerged, and the Civil Police believes they are committing violent crimes—on Wednesday three black bloc protestors were arrested. Today is Sete de Setembro, Brazil's independence day, and, along with other activists, the anarchists are once again protesting in Rio. VICE's Brian Mier is following the black bloc. Watch his live stream below.
