Key members of the LGBTQ community are putting together a memorial tomorrow to honor the victims of the Pulse nightclub massacre in Orlando. The vigil, organized by Los Angeles-based street artist Mr. Brainwash, Strike Oil clothing company, and resource organization for businesswomen The Girls' Lounge will take place at 11:30 PM EST outside of the club. It coincides with Spirit Day, an initiative created by the media advocacy organization GLAAD to raise awareness about the bullying faced by LGBTQ youth.

Mr. Brainwash will make a mural alongside friends and family of the LGBTQ community, which will later be donated to GLAAD for auctioning, with all proceeds going directly to the Pulse Foundation. Discwoman affiliate Kim Anh will also do a special performance.

"The horrific attack on Latin night at Pulse nightclub is a tragic reminder of how far we have left to go to achieve full acceptance of LGBTQ people," Sarah Kate Ellis, GLAAD president and CEO, said. "This Spirit Day vigil to benefit the Pulse Foundation and GLAAD will raise visibility around the staggering rates of bullying LGBTQ youth face, while advancing our work to accelerate acceptance."

Strike Oil will also sell a series of special edition prints on its website starting Friday, October 21 with 100 percent of the proceeds going to GLAAD and the Pulse Foundation. The foundation is currently working towards transforming the club's current location into a permanent memorial, and reopening a new location for Pulse nightclub.
