Deadmau5 Shares Long-Awaited Grabbitz Collaboration, “Let Go”

Ahead of the December 2 release of his new album, W:/2016Album (that's pronounced "W Drive 2016 Album"), dance music's favorite masked man Deadmau5 has shared one of its long-awaited singles, "Let Go."

The track, which features up-and-coming artist Grabbitz, has a lot of history behind it—for starters, "Let Go" actually started out as a solely-mau5 instrumental called "Silent Picture," which was on his last album, 2014's while(1<2). Grabbitz's vocal edit of the track caught the heavyweight's attention in 2015; after posting said edit on his Twitter, fans have been clamoring for the official release of the collaboration—initially titled "aassddff," then "Blood for the Bloodgoat"—ever since. Other tracks on the album include recently shared lead single "4ware," which throws back to his early days; "Snowcone," which initially saw the producer in a more experimental hip-hop mode; "2448," which currently serves as the new anthem for the Toronto Maple Leafs hockey team; the eSports-inspired "Imaginary Friends"; and "No Problemo," which in a press release is described as "reminiscent of Tom Waits."
