After spending almost a decade putting out records on Ellen Allien's Bpitch Control label, Berlin producer and DJ Paul Kalkbrenner took a couple years to self-release before moving to Columbia Records and Sony International this past August for his latest album, 7. The new arrangement enabled the artist to have unprecedented access to the two labels' master vaults and tapes, and as a result, it went on to feature samples of Luther Vandross and Jefferson Airplane, sans hassle.Kalkbrenner recently performed in NYC back in August, debuting a new live show in the US. In case you were unable to make that, though, it has just been announced that he will be returning to the continent in early 2016 for a short-but-sweet tour. He'll begin at Naucalpan De Juarez, Mexico's 360e Venue on January 8 and close things out here in NYC, January 16 at Ouput. See the information for all four dates below, buy your tickets on the artist's website, and re-read our feature on him here.1/08: 360e Venue, Naucalpan De Juarez, Mexico
