Oh Man, Mike Tomlin Just Roasted the Shit out of Terry Bradshaw

Bradshaw might not be able to spell "cat," but he can probably read between the lines.

Over the weekend, Terry Bradshaw, one of FOX NFL Sunday's resident laughing cherubs, had some critical words for Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin. Before the holiday weekend, Bradshaw appeared in Dante's Eighth Circle of Hell on Fox Sports 1's "Speak for Yourself" and said he did not consider Tomlin to be a "great" head coach "at all." Bradshaw added that while his coaching abilities were less than stellar, he did consider Tomlin a "really a great cheerleader guy."

Speaking with the media today after his Steelers beat the Ravens to clinch the AFC North, Tomlin responded to the legendary Pittsburgh quarterback. First he agreed with Bradshaw's assessment of his greatness and said only a handful of coaches in pro sports are truly great, naming Bill Belichick and Gregg Popovich specifically. Then, he addressed the "cheerleader guy" comment and dropped a withering hammer:

"Terms like 'cheerleader guy,' to me, maybe fall outside of bounds of critique or criticism," Tomlin said during a news conference Tuesday. "They probably fall more toward the area of disrespect and unprofessional. But what do I know? I grew up a Dallas fan. Particularly a [Thomas] 'Hollywood' Henderson fan."

In the lead up to Super Bowl XIII, a rematch between Bradshaw's Steelers and Henderson's Cowboys, Hollywood famously said that Bradshaw was "so dumb, he couldn't spell cat if you spotted him a C and an A."

That is Mike Tomlin 1, Terry Bradshaw 0.
