Burial Posts a Selfie, Ellen Dances to Dillon Francis

And more juicy gossip from the dance music world.

There's enough gossip going around the world of electronic music that it probably deserves its own TMZ, Gawker, and Perez Hilton. We keep track of the drama, the beef, the LOLs, the dramatic build-ups, and the tragic drops so you don't have to. Now, let's see who killed it this week.

DEADMAU5 VS. THE INTERNET
Deadmau5 has quit Twitter for what feels like the 4600th time. Evidently, the festival king's relationship with the Internet is even more tumultuous than his affair with Kat Von D. He also recently deleted his entire Soundcloud account in hopes that people would subscribe to Deadmau5 Live.

A TRAK AND CAM'RON

Hey Ma! A-Trak took a Duck Sauce break and teamed up with Cam'ron to make the collab of everyone's dreams. The EP also includes the artwork of everyone's dreams. It doesn't get any better than this.

AUSTRALIAN POLICE GET #PLURNT

Now this is one cop we can get down with. Or, turn up with? Whatever. During Melbourne's Big Day Out festival, someone caught this [lady doing something] on tape, which made everyone happy because we've all been there. She was just touched by the spirit that moved her and couldn't stop herself from dancing. Seeing a police dancing to the words "put your fucking hands up" is kind of the best huh?

DANCE MUSIC AT THE GRAMMYS
2013 was a big year for dance music. Daft Punk went Bieber and took home the Grammys for Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Best Pop Performance, and Best Dance Album. Zedd won Best Dance Recording for his smash hit, "Clarity," and Cedric Gervais scraped the trophy for Best Remix. So how come no dance music artists performed at the award show? Daft Punk doesn't count, guys.

FASHION HOUSE

Fashion week is just around the corner, so it only makes sense to let you know that the Bronx brothers of house music—the Martinez Brothers—have just recently scored the music to the Givenchy Fall/Winter Mens collection. And by "makes sense," we mean, WTF?

ELLEN DOESN'T GIVE A FUCK OR SHIT

Well, Ellen finally caught on. Everyone loves it when Ellen dances, but this week she decided to dance to a Dillon Francis track after announcing that she is teaming up with

for a Super Bowl commercial. You know, now that we're watching this, these two could definitely be related.

KANGAROO PARTY

This week, the Stafford brothers threw quite a party in LA. Who are the Stafford Brothers, you ask? Just some Australian EDM guys that randomly got signed to Cash Money and had Christina Milian [sic] on one of their songs, or something like that. The trouble is that it looks like they spent more time partying in their LA studio than actually making tracks. Our favorite part of this story is that they gave a kangaroo "free reign of the house." Wait—did the owners of the house just see their video and decide to sue? We want to believe this went on for a while.

BURIAL POSTS A SELFIE
This just in: this morning, Hyperdub posted a message from the underground's favorite dubstep darling, Burial. The note announced that he's is gearing up to release Dark Souls 2, but the big news here is that it contained a rare face pic of the mysterious man. He's actually pretty cute; we'd hit it.
