Dennis Rodman Weeps at the "Amazing" Trump and Kim Jong-un Summit

The former Chicago Bull, while wearing a MAGA hat, cried on TV about this "great day."

"How did we get to this point?" It seems nowadays we're rarely afforded a breath between asking ourselves this question repeatedly. But if this bizarre culmination of circumstances doesn't make your chest collapse from asking just that, it's hard to know what else will.

Dennis Rodman—yes, The Worm, the former Detroit Pistons, San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls rebounding machine/pest, and former Celebrity Apprentice contestant—went on live television wearing a MAGA hat and wept while describing the historic summit between the two dictators world leaders Kim Jong-un and President Trump.

In case the images aren't already wallpapered to the back of your retina, here's a glimpse at the grand photo op, with the beloved American Flag, tarnished and disrespected by so many "son[s] of bitch[es]" playing football, standing proudly next to North Korea's.

Rodman went on CNN to talk for nearly 20 minutes about the event with Chris Cuomo, and things got, well, emotional?

Just gaze upon this meaty block of Rodman building sympathy for his struggles after receiving star treatment in a country that has doled out countless human rights abuses:

"When I said those things, when I said those damn things, I got death threats. I got so many death threats, where I was sitting there, protecting everything. And I believe in North Korea. And when I came home, I came to go home, I couldn't even go home. I had to hide out for 30 days. I couldn't even go home. But I kept my head up high, brother. I knew things were going to change. I knew it. I was the only one. I never had no one to hear me. I never had no one to see me. But I took those bullets—I took all that, I took everything everyone came at me—and I'm still standing. But today's a great day for everybody. Singapore, Tokyo, China, everything. It's a great day. I'm here to see it. I'm so happy."

"I just thought I was just going to play basketball and treat the people, and be happy, and that was it. But it turned out to be so much more bigger than what I thought."

If you are as yet unconvinced that we are in fact living through the strangest, most insane timeline, please consider Dennis Rodman talking to a CNN anchor about a summit between the United States—whose president is Donald Trump—and North Korea, regarding the hermit kingdom's nuclear arsenal and praising Jong-un thusly:

"The one thing I'll say about him—he's more like a big kid, even though he's small…But he loves to have a good time."

Nothing but good times in 2018.
