Earnest warbling about street activities has been a calling card for rappers over the past few years, with more new artists opting to use their singing voices just as equally, if not more, than spitting bars. YoungBoy Never Broke Again a.k.a. NBA YoungBoy has been one of the young ringleaders on that front this past year, with many of his standout songs on AI YoungBoy feeling more like ballads than bangers. Today, an affiliate of YoungBoy's is carrying on the trend with a new song and video. Jamie Ray, a newcomer out of Polk County, Florida is a rapper with a penchant for melody and it's on full display with his latest single, "16."

Today we're premiering the video for Ray's "16," a catchy tune featuring YoungBoy that celebrates acting on your ambitions. Last week, YoungBoy previewed the track and behind-the-scenes clips of the video on his Instagram, which on its own amassed over a million views. In the clip, the two bullshit and lamp around mall grounds, skating through obstacles and surfing on the backs of motorcycles. The single is featured on Jamie Ray's Castles in the Sky mixtape, which drops today. "It's inspired by me wanting and getting the things i never had," Ray said of the tape's thematic direction. "It’s like the law of attraction, if you put it in the air you will receive it." Watch the video below.
