A Drug Dealer Got Busted for Selling Somebody a Bag of Dirty Socks Instead of Weed

Now the dealer could wind up behind bars for fraud.

A couple in Michigan looking to get really, really stoned tried to buy a pound of weed from their local dealer, but wound up finding a bunch of unwashed clothes inside the bag he handed over.

The dealer, Michael Rafael Suarez, is pleading guilty to fraud charges after selling the couple a $2,800 bag of dirty socks instead of the pound they'd asked for, the Daily Telegram reports. They had all arranged to meet near a trailer park for the handoff after a friend of Suarez' helped set up the deal.

"I didn't bring any weed," Suarez told a county judge. "I brought a bag of dirty socks."

A cop pulled over Suarez, Joshua Cope, and Rebecca Sharp (his customers) when the three sped past a stop sign after the deal had gone down. Then the couple totally fucked themselves over, and told the cop they'd been robbed of the drug money. Everything sort of fell apart after that.

Now Sharp and Cope face charges for attempted possession of marijuana and intent to distribute, and Suarez could wind up behind bars for as long as seven and a half years. Not everyone lost out in the deal, though—local police confiscated the money, and under state law, they'll be able to seize the cash for themselves.
