Wheatus, Hoobastank, Alien Ant Farm, Lit, and Cky Are Touring Australia. Together. All of Them.

2017 just will not quit.

In a world where the Vengaboys (Vengapeople) and two sevenths of S Club 7 can take a spin around this country on a sold out national tour, you might be prone to asking yourself: What went wrong? Is our world climate in such disarray that we are literally hiding out in the past? Is the present so confronting that we're going back to the days of old? Were the 2000s even that good? Am I thinking about this too much?

Whatever the deep, sociopolitical undertones, the 2000s renaissance tour circuit is not yet dead, people. In fact, it may just be getting started. A little press release told me this morning that a new kind of nostalgia tour is headed for our fair hemisphere: a sadboy early pop rock one, featuring Wheatus, Alien Ant Farm, Hoobastank, Lit, and CKY.

So if you were a lil freak in high school, you're probably pretty stoked right now. You get to relive those lonely-ass nights of surfing the web (when it was at its most basic and often more isolating than it was connecting) in your room, practicing your acoustic guitar and wondering when tf your crush is going to actually friggin' notice you!!!!

Relive the radiating beauty of Mena Suvari floating towards you with two tickets to Iron Maiden. Relive the truly nonsensical nature of Hoobastank successfully robbing a bank using a very small diversion. Relive the fact that a rock band got famous covering Michael Jackson. Think about how annoying it must be to be a band called Lit now. And then think about how CKY are actually quite good.

Relive it all, little buddy!!! Tickets available Friday here. Tour dates below.

Tuesday 26 September, Metro City, Perth
Wednesday 27 September, Thebarton Theatre, Adelaide
Thursday 28 September, Big Top Luna Park, Sydney
Saturday 30 September, Eatons Hill, Brisbane
Sunday 1 October, Festival Hall, Melbourne
