After an awkward four-year waiting period, Netflix announced Wednesday that it's finally managed to bring the Bluth family back together again for a fifth season of Arrested Development, Variety reports.The streaming service revived the cult-favorite series back in 2013 after its three-season run on FOX was cut short in 2006. The fourth season picked right back up where the third had left off, throwing its regular cast of characters—played by Jason Bateman, Jeffrey Tambor, Jessica Walter, Will Arnett, Tony Hale, Michael Cera, Portia de Rossi, David Cross, and Alia Shawkat—into their old antics again.Since then, scheduling conflicts left prospects for a fifth season in limbo. After claiming back in January that they were "really close" to pulling it off, the showrunners officially announced Wednesday that they've gotten the gang back together for a slew of new episodes to debut in 2018."In talks with Netflix we all felt that stories about a narcissistic, erratically behaving family in the building business—and their desperate abuses of power—are really underrepresented on TV these days," series creator Mitchell Hurwitz said in a statement. "I am so grateful to them and to 20th TV for making this dream of mine come true in bringing the Bluths, George Sr., Lucille, and the kids; Michael, Ivanka, Don Jr., Eric, George-Michael, and who am I forgetting, oh Tiffany. Did I say Tiffany?—back to the glorious stream of life."According to the press release from Netflix, all the Bluths will be back for season five, with Hurwitz as executive producer, alongside Brian Grazer, Jim Vallely, and Richie Rosenstock. Even Ron Howard is back in the mix, serving as an executive producer and the intrepid narrator."Whew! I can finally answer the question… Hell yes! Warming up my uncredited narrator vocal chords," Howard said. "Now the only thing I will have to be coy about is all the craziness the Bluths are going to face this season."
