WHATS THE DEAL:

In a city where house music rules the nightlife, Forever Young is nostalgic madness for pop and r&b lovers in Amsterdam. Songs you used to sing into your hairbrush from 1990-2010 are blasted throughout Chicago Social Club (yes, it's in Amsterdam) once every three months at the highly anticipated mega party.

90s babies unite swooning over everything from No Doubt to Ginuwine immediately bond on the dance floor while nightlife hotties dance onstage and on the large speakers. The line wraps around the block and floods into the street while the bouncer explains to tourists that it's a private party and a door girl in drag picks and chooses who she lets in. (I was not on the list, lied, and got in because my nails "are the look.") The girls are straight out of Clueless and can be spotted drinking Breezer Slet, a Dutch cocktail best described as "slutty teenage girl drinks made of Bacardi Breezer and Smirnoff Ice."

"We ask the DJs to play every song they used to love and listened and danced to when they were young, no matter the genre. Except for house, because there are already too many fucking house parties in this town," said nightlife photographer Julie Weber who has been posting potentially incriminating evidence of the parties online since 2012. Hypnotized by the chaos causing, nostalgic atmosphere, even partygoers who typically opt to lean on the bar and chat end up dancing at Forever Young.

ONE UNFORGETTABLE MOMENT:

"At the first Forever Young in the summer of 2012, I remember dancing in a DJ booth that was literally soaked with vodka. My socks smelled like vodka when I got home, but while I was dancing in the vodka, two DJs crowd surfed successfully to the front and back of the club with no awkward moments. Then there was the pit full of girls going wild."
