In A Weird Glitch, NBA League Pass is Taking Me to the Patriots Website

The app was also reverting back to the weekend of October 1, 2016, the last weekend the Patriots played without Tom Brady. Is it haunted?

So, this is pretty weird, but bear with me. I was trying to grab some video of a particularly stirring dunk and my NBA League Pass app started acting strange. It was defaulting all the way to the preseason, showing games from October 1, October 2, and October 3. There was also a weird red bar with what looked like an aspect ratio for an advertisement maybe? So I clicked on that, and it took me to…Patriots.com.

That's pretty weird, right? Maybe there is some kind of error going on and the App is defaulting to the very beginning of the preseason, which was October 1, 2016. But why the link to the Patriots? The weekend of October 1 was the last weekend the Patriots played without Tom Brady, who had been serving a four-game suspension for his role in Deflategate. They lost to Buffalo Bills. Now, for some reason, when you (or maybe just me and the universe specifically hates my guts) go to NBA League Pass you are taken back to that weekend and then re-routed to the New England Patriots website where you see Julian Edelman making a catch against the Falcons in Super Bowl LI, in which the Patriots pulled off the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history.

I reached out to NBA League Pass customer support and they were not able to replicate my issues and did not really know anything else about it. I asked if they had been hacked, since that seems like a pretty bizarre coincidence, but a rep told me they don't believe there's any funny business going on. "There's actually supposed to be an ad in that spot, so it could just be a Patriots ad missing the graphic."

Sure. It could just be that, but why is it reverting to the preseason and the very week Tom Brady technically began the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history?
