WATCH: VICE Impact’s New Short Film ‘Solve at the United Nations’

CrowdSolving the world's global challenges.

Solve is a public-facing Massachusetts Institute of Technology initiative that seeks to find tangible answers to some of the world's most pressing challenges by asking for solutions from around the world. Candidates submitted their proposed solution to these challenges, and earlier this year were invited to the United Nations to a live pitch event where those chosen would get support from Solve's community to create actionable change.

It's a simple, egalitarian way to right some of the world's worst wrongs, so we made a short film about it called Solve at the United Nations, highlighting #MeWeSyria founder Mohsin Mohi-Ud-Din, which you can watch above. VICE Impact is a proud partner of the Solve program, and will be showcasing future projects.

The next round is underway and this week Solve will welcome more than 400 leaders from technology, business, nonprofit, government and academia to "CrowdSolve" global challenges at its annual flagship event, Solve at MIT , May 8-10, on the MIT campus in Cambridge, MA.

VICE Impact's very own Director of Advocacy, Nick Carter, will be there too moderating a panel discussion on how disadvantaged youth can learn the skills needed for the 21st century workforce.

For more information about how you can attend the event or become a solver yourself, go to their website for more info.
