KPR Captures the Insanity of Life on the Road in 'Berita Angkasa'

Kelompok Penerbang Roket are back with another helping of scuzzy 70s riffs and barroom sing-alongs.

Want proof that rock `n roll isn't dead? Look no further than Kelompok Penerbang Roket. This Jakarta hard rock band's combination of perfectly scuzzy hard rock riffs and big AC/DC style sing-alongs sounds big enough for the arena, but still raw enough for the dive bar. It's a hard balance to strike, but KPR (as they are called) walks the line with an unpretentious energy and some serious chops.

KPR's latest single is an ode to the road life—an insane black-and-white tour diary that captures the intensity, stupidity, and wild excess of playing non-stop shows. KPR are one of Indonesia's fastest-rising young bands, thanks, in no small part, to their willingness to just get out there and play. But if life on the road is as fun as it looks here, who could blame them?
