You Should Be Putting Mezcal and Beer in Your Bloody Mary

Meet Bloody Mary’s sexier Mexican cousin: Bloody Maria. She’s spicy as hell, she brings home the bacon, and she smokes.

It's been a hell of a week: working our asses off through Wednesday so could actually enjoy the holiday, arguing with family about everything from politics to all the ways we're wasting our lives, then eating all our feelings. Then eating our leftover feelings again the next day. And the day after that.

After three days of binge eating, it's probably best to just drink our next meal, which is why we're going to make ourselves a booze-spiked brunch in a glass. Meet Bloody Mary's sexier Mexican cousin: Bloody Maria. She's spicy as hell, she brings home the bacon, and she smokes.

RECIPE: Bloody Maria

A pungent mix of bacon-infused mezcal and roasted tomato juice makes this cocktail smoky as hell. Fresh lime juice and a generous amount of hot sauce complete the perfect spicy-smoky-savory-citrusy balance. The beer float on top adds a refreshing finish to each sip.

Better make this one while you still can, before a certain pendejo actually builds that wall and diminishes our mezcal supply.
