We're almost there, you guys. Just a few more days and we have a five-day weekend to not work and to stuff ourselves to the point of extreme discomfort. And then do it again the next day. Yes, Turkey Day is right around the corner, but please don't call it that (leave that to your mother), because, well, it sounds ridiculous. But also because we all know Thanksgiving isn't really about the turkey.

Sure, obviously this day revolves around turkey. It's at the center of the table (and everyone's Instagram photos), but it's more of a mascot than anything else. It's the protein to balance out the obscene amount of carbs that you will soon be piling onto your plate. The real stars of the meal are the little satellites revolving around the massive bird: carbs, sweet carbs.

It's a bold move to bring yet more carbs to a house that's already got mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes topped with marshmallow fluff, and a cheesy broccoli casserole topped with bread. But we've got a recipe for sweet potato fries that will stand out above the usual suspects—and it's easy AF to make.

RECIPE: Easy Sweet Potato Fries

These aren't just any sweet potato fries—they're broiled in peanut oil then covered in honey, chili flakes, and a big dose of triple cream brie cheese—because you can't really have Thanksgiving carbs without cheese.

From prep to eating this whole dish only takes 25 minutes, and it's so worth it. You're family—and your turkey—will thank you.
