A veritable menagerie of animal portmanteaus awaits in architect-turned-illustrator Federico Babina's new series, Archizoo. In earlier illustrations he's mashed up iconic buildings with historic painters and famous songs, but these animal remixes are different because they channel his distant past.“When I was a child I wanted to be an architect and now that I’m an architect I would like [to] sometimes go back to my childhood,” he tells ArchDaily. [The] mind is capable of collecting, record[ing] and stor[ing] millions of images.
