LA Kings Twitter Account Went Pretty Far Out of Their Way to Dis The City of St. Louis

Like a bucket full of Morton's salt to St. Louis' gaping NFL wound.

Los Angeles now leads St. Louis 2-0. …both in this game and in professional football teams.

Oscar Wilde once said, "To lose one parent may be regarded as a misfortune; to lose both looks like carelessness." And such is the way with football teams lost to Los Angeles, as the LA Kings so dickishly reminded everyone on Thursday night. The St. Louis Blues were the Kings' opponents that night; the good people of San Diego were collateral damage.

The LA Kings steamrolled the Blues last night, 5-1, which honestly was injury enough. Not for the Kings Twitter account, though, which took like seven turns to go out of their way to add insult not just to St. Louis, but another football-deprived city. As much as we appreciate the work, that's just cold. Why would you ever try and make someone else feel bad about the NFL's oligarchs auctioning off their loyalty to the highest-bidding municipal government? It's not like San Diego and St. Louis lost their football teams because they didn't love them enough.

Just you wait 'til the Kings relocate to Las Vegas. You'll get yours soon enough, Los Angeles.
