In the middle of all this earth cracking Coalition drama, something became very clear. Peter Dutton, is a pretty common name. There are actually a bunch of Peter Duttons, and they have been getting blasted on Twitter.

One of them in particular, a 30-year-old popcorn businessman from Texas, captured the nation’s heart writing “I wish the people of Australia would look at my profile and realize I’m a 30 yr old black man before sending me tweets and DMs”. The deluge of attention brought him up to speed on Australia’s political situation pretty fast, and soon he was accepting job offers from the Australian public.

One Twitter user wrote: “Hey @PeterDutton5 you’ve got the job – when can you start? If there’s one thing we need now it’s a young black dude in charge. Sick of old white racists calling the shot – and I’m old and white!” To which he replied, “Lol! I gladly accept. First rule of business: racists must leave!”

So far so good.

The idea’s obviously taken root, and now Peter Dutton of Texas is keen to come check out his new workplace. He’s started a GoFundMe page to get here. On it he explained: “Good day, mates. It’s the Peter Dutton you love coming to you from Texas. I would first like to thank all of my new Aussie relatives for the love and true joy through this entire thing. It’s been an honor and privilege to hold my new title as a representative of the people.”

He went on to say he and his wife, who is pregnant with their daughter (bless), have always wanted to come check out Oz. He is looking to raise $2500 to come visit. At the time of writing he’d raised $340.

Hell, PM or not, it would be nice if all this mess could result in a small business owner getting a holiday.
