Listen to David Nance Perform the Fried Guitar Solo of the Century

The Omaha songwriter's new record is part of the Richie Records Single Series.

One of our favourite labels, Richie Records mark the end of the North American summer with new material from Hothead, Writhing Squares and David Nance as part of their seven-inch Singles Series.

The Philadelphia label who have released records from Home Blitz, Spacin', Purling Hiss, and Watery Love, explain that while they may have taken a while, the three releases are worth the wait. "Get em now or march ignorantly toward the winter solstice" is their bold declaration.

The Writhing Squares Too is an ad hoc stand in for the original band lineup with Daniel Provenzano in charge of proceedings, Hothead is the understated but quality pop lead by Baltimore musician Laurie Spector, while the David Nance record contains some more busted guitar heroics from the Omaha songwriter including "Amethyst (Fucked)" that includes what Richie describes as "the fried solo of the century".

Get your ears around some of the greasy goodness here.

The Summer Singles Series is available now through Richie Records.
