'The Venture Bros.' Is Finally Coming Back to Adult Swim

The cult-classic show will return after a 29-month hiatus.

It looks like a demon is gunning for the Venture Compound in a new trailer for the seventh season of the cult favorite The Venture Bros., which Adult Swim dropped on Thursday.

Almost the whole gang is back in the minute-long teaser for what will likely be a disastrous attempt to summon a spirit from the netherworld. Dr. Rusty Venture and his awkward, homeschooled kids, Hank and Dean, have apparently agreed to let their tenant, Dr. Orpheus, summon a demon. The whole Order of the Triad—Dr. Orpheus, the Alchemist, and Jefferson Twilight—are pitching in to help, along with with Sgt. Hatred. With so many cooks in the kitchen, whatever they're trying to pull off will surely end badly for the Ventures.

The clip packs in almost everything fans love about the show: giant robots, funny hats, and self-referential humor. The only thing missing is an appearance from everyone's favorite bodyguard, Brock Samson, so here's a compilation of his best moments:

Known for its blend of pop culture minutia, dark humor, and on-the-nose parody, Christopher McCulloch's satire of comic book heroes and villains has been an Adult Swim mainstay over the last 15 years. It's the longest-running show on the network, averaging one season every two-and-a-half years, which is exactly how long it's been since the March 2016 season six finale.

Check out the season seven trailer. The Venture Bros. returns to Adult Swim on August 5.
