Break-ups, according to Trixie Mattel, are “the reason for every pint of ice cream gone missing,” and, according to Katya Zamolodchikova, are grounds for self-medication. While our two heroines may have differing opinions regarding ruined relationships, they can agree that parting ways can be emotionally—and even physically—exhausting.Most of us have experienced a traumatic breakup or two, but what makes these dark periods of heartbreak so indistinguishable from any other disheartening booze-ridden bender? For one thing, it’s the habitual depressive behavior that happens as a result of loss.Post breakup, you subconsciously do things that expose you for the heartbroken mop you truly are. It’s possible that you may sulk. You may lack an appetite. You may even wear the same sweatpants for a week straight. You may eat your weight (and a little more) in Cherry Garcia. However, if you ask us, it’s undoubtedly the “sad smell of desperation” while rebounding that gives every heartbroken individual away, and Trixie concludes that this stench is worse than the breakup itself.But Katya has a knack for sniffing out desperate gentleman callers, though that's not the only thing she can smell with ease.
