If your parents were hippies, chances are you were only allowed to play with stuff you built yourself, or found in the woods. But if you had at least one corporate kid in your class you'll know that there was some good shit out there too.

But if you had at least one corporate kid in your class you’ll know that there was some good shit out there too. Like, remember Game & Watch? How addictive were those games? And proper G.I. Joe action figures, as opposed to today’s “adult toys,” that you aren’t even allowed to take out of the box because they’ll lose their collector’s value.

To stop all the intra-sibling bickering about who has the best toys, we decided it was time for a proper Then vs. Now fight to the death, toy showdown. Our focus group consists of three un-biased kids of today, Christopher, 5, Mikael, 9 and Emma, 9.
