  • GOP: Keep Refugees Out
    Nearly two dozen Republican governors claimed they would close their states to Syrian refugees, as the party's presidential candidates cranked up the anti-refugee rhetoric. Chris Christie said he wouldn't even allow "orphans under 5" into his state. —The Washington Post

  • Minneapolis Mayor Steps In
    The mayor of Minneapolis has asked for a federal civil rights investigation into the police shooting of Jamar Clark, currently on life support. More than 50 Black Lives Matter activists were arrested as they protested outside the police precinct. —AP

  • Gay Foster Case Judge Steps Away
    A Utah judge who had ordered that a baby girl be taken away from lesbian foster parents has recused himself from the case, after facing calls for his impeachment. Scott Johansen had cited "research" suggesting babies do better in heterosexual households. —CNN

  • Six Killed at Texas Campsite
    Police have arrested Texan man William Hudson and charged him with murder in connection to six people found dead at a campsite. Two bodies were found inside a trailer, and four more in a pond behind Hudson's home. —NBC News

  • More Paris Raids, Manhunt Intensifies
    There were 128 overnight raids on suspected militants in France, but the hunt continues for Salah Abdeslam, the Belgian believed to be the only survivor of the terrorist group that attacked Paris. Investigators believe another Belgian jihadist, Adelhamid Abaaoud, masterminded the attacks. —BBC News

  • Putin: We Will Punish Plane Bomber
    A terrorist bomb brought down the A321 plane over Egypt's Sinai region, Russia's security chief has said, after traces of explosives were found on fragments of the downed plane. President Vladimir Putin has vowed to punish those responsible for the attack, which killed 224 people. —Reuters

  • Anonymous Declares War
    Anonymous is promising its "biggest operation ever" against Islamic State militants. In a YouTube video, a spokesman for the hackers collective, speaking in French, said "Anonymous from all over the world will hunt you down". —TIME

  • Australia Gets First Muslim Party
    The country's first political party representing Muslims will contest seats at the next federal election. "We live in a democratic society and people are entitled to form anti-Muslim parties just as people are entitled to form the Muslim Party". —The Sydney Morning Herald

    The hacktivist group that breached the personal email account of CIA boss John Brennan is back with more. The 'Crackas With Attitude" group published details of 1,500 more government employees. —Motherboard
