'Bad Day' Magazine Is the Shit and They're Having a Party

'Bad Day' is something we like to read while on the toilet, on the train, or waiting in line at the free clinic. Tonight they are throwing a party in NYC in honor of their latest issue that you should definitely go to.

If you only read one magazine, obviously it should be ours, but if you read more than one mag, check out Bad Day, which is published by former VICE Canada staffer Jackie Linton. We read Bad Day on the toilet, on the train, while waiting in line at the free clinic—pretty much any time we can. It has contributors like our pal Bruce LaBruce and stories on stuff we're into like the fashion of Patrik Ervell. Tonight, Bad Day will be celebrating the release of its 14th issue at the Steven Alan store in Chelsea, New York City, with VICE contributors Peter Sutherland and Maia Ruth Lee playing records on the ones and two. It's going to be a really swell time, especially since there will be free booze and attractive smart people there to ogle.

We talked briefly with Jackie about the latest issue and she said, "Every new issue feels like the best we've ever done—but this one, for me, is pretty heavy-hitting because it features Whit Stillman and he is really legendary in my eyes. We've also got features in there from agnès b., Roman Coppola, and a photo portfolio from Michael Schmelling. Not to mention we used wine-colored ink, which looks incredible."
