Thom Yorke's Vocals Sound Like an Ominous Sea Fog on This New Mark Pritchard Track

It seems Radiohead members don't sleep anymore.

Radiohead have really embraced the modern British work ethic recently, spreading themselves thinner than the sunflower-based butter substitute I put on my toast each morning. Yes, they are writing a new album together and preparing for a world tour, but also: Johnny Greenwood has just released his Indian-inspired debut album, Thom Yorke headlined Bloc Weekender with his solo show, and their producer Nigel Godrich is working on the new Red Hot Chilli Peppers record. I imagine Colin Greenwood, Ed O'Brien, and Phil Selway have been doing things too, in their own time—putting up some shelves or tackling that nasty weed patch on the garden patio—I just don't know for sure so I can't say.

Now Thom Yorke has revealed another little nugget of secret work he's been beavering away at, with the arrival of a new song from the British producer Mark Pritchard featuring Yorke's ghostly vocals floating across the track like an ominous sea fog. Pritchard says: "The original instrumental to 'Beautiful People' is a personal song about loss, hopelessness and chaos, but ultimately the message is love and hope. Thom's contribution to this collaboration captured perfectly what the piece is about. I will be forever grateful to have worked with such a immense talent."

The track comes from Pritchard's forthcoming Under The Sun LP on Warp. You can listen to "Beautiful People" below.
