It's been a pretty great year for Shamir. Earlier in May his debut LP Ratchet came out via XL recordings and since then he's been on a path to success. Take for example his performance on last night's edition of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Shamir came out to play "On The Regular," complete with a huge backing band to give the instrumentals more punch. He hops around the stage while the horns and synthier bits come together in the arrangement. The best part of it all is the amount of fun on the original track isn't lost in the live version, even ending with Shamir putting his head on Colbert's shoulder at the end of it.
