Room8's "No Hard Feelings" feat. King Deco Is Cute Like a John Hughes Movie

When it's all said and done can you be the bigger person and be friends with your ex?

Sometimes all you need is the pulse of a synth to know you'll like a song. So it is with this new tune from Room8—an LA-based duo who rope in guest vocalists to create sugar sweet synthpop with a splash of melancholy. They frequently favor female singers to topline it and here they've got NYC's King Deco on deck, plus on their forthcoming EP, Little Boots and Polina make appearences. Oh and their debut, Visions of You, was in collaboration with Electric Youth—you know, those guys who made the Drive soundtrack so lodge-in-your-head-hard-to-forget.

"No Hard Feelings," premiering below, is a cinnamon-sprinkled kiss-off to a dude who did wrong, but guess what, she's rising above it, taking the bad stuff and locking it in a box and making sure they can move forward as friends. How very mature! It's also very John Hughes-movie cute.

Listen below and, if you're in New York next week, go see them live as part of Northside Festival.
