A$AP Rocky and A$AP Ferg must’ve known they were stepping into an increasingly congested world as fictional, animated versions of themselves on cable TV. Tyler The Creator, Childish Gambino and MC Lyte had pretty much a whole episode of The Regular Show to themselves a while back and The Simpsons have been killing it for years. What could be new about their long-rumored appearance on HBO’s Animals tonight?Well, were any of the animated characters in those shows cats? No, I do not think that they were. And even if they had been cats, would said cats have been spitting bars? I doubt it very much. But pretend, if you can, that they had been rapping cats played by esteemed rappers, what sort of cats would they have been? Would they have been bodega cats?Probably not. It’s probably the case that this is unique even in the imaginations of the most left-field cartoon-dreamer folks in all the land. So here is a video of A$AP Rocky and A$AP Ferg as bodega cats, trying really hard to avoid punning the word "pussy." They do a pretty good job, too, until right at the end where Rocky keeps making the joke over and over again, gleefully.
