Swedes Do It Better: Here's For BDK's Video for "What I Must Find"

What are they feeding the Swedes and can we get some of it imported please?

Not that we support style over substance, but who isn't a tad partial to an artist with a flair for the dramatic. London-via-Sweden transplants For BDK have it all worked out. Last March the duo—comprised of Adele Kosmans and Marcus Borman—dropped "News Ways Of Digging Deeper," a song that ploughed a gloweringly uplifting synth-pop furrow. Meanwhile in the accompanying video Adele showcased bold brows and the correct use of raven's feathers (inky plume epaulettes and a bare sternum, please), while Marcus and his lop-sided coiff demonstrated the timelessness of a leather biker jacket and slowly exhaled smoke (cigs why are you so bad when you look so cool?).

But this new video, premiering above, blows the former out of the water. Filmed in sub zero temperatures just south of Stockholm, a primary color-swathed Adele glides through snow sprinkled forests and stands jewel-bedecked on a frigid coastline conjuring like alien sorceress. Musically, "What I Must Find" is another bound forward—akin to "Frozen"-era Madonna meets MS MR meets Alpines—it combines combative strings and sparse piano lines over which Adele's vocals soar.
