Angie And Cuntz Are Muses

Rather than ask them questions like, ummm, what is music? We thought they could give each other an early Christmas present in the form of a portrait.

Every month we have parties where we get bands we like to play and generally just cover everything in beer. This week is our Christmas party (well parties), so it seemed like a good time to do something special.

In Sydney we have droning chantreuse Angie joining TV Colours and Adults. Down in Melbourne almost internationally famous Cuntz are sharing the bill with Bad Vision and TV Colours—we really like TV Colours.

Rather than ask them questions like, ummm, what is music? We thought they could give each other an early Christmas present in the form of a portrait. Surprisingly this wasn’t born from editorial seasonal exhaustion, but rather because we knew both Angie and the guys in Cuntz were notable artists in their daylight hours.

Angie sent the guys this picture:

Which became this.

But also this. So we guess interpret that as you will.

Angie was a little more direct. The guys told her to just choose any picture of them, being a messy punk band they weren’t overflowing with portraits. She said of her piece, “I kinda just think it's kinda weird, they don't have any pictures of them that aren't far away. But they seem to all have this tattoo, so I just drew that instead.”

Don’t feel too left out, we got you two parties for Christmas.

18 December at Goodgod Small Club in Sydney

21 December at Boney in Melbourne
