"What kind of drugs were they on when they made this?" can sometimes be an annoying statement to make about art, since it presumes all kinds of things about artists who may just have a broad imagination. That being said, what the fuck is this video. The clip for Look Vibrant's "Miracle" is an exercise in dreamlike surrealism, as the Montreal art-rockers are literally pulled apart and interact with an assortment of unusual characters and objects. There's a heavily tattooed guy in a wheelchair, a Speedo-clad jogger chasing a dangling fish and, towards the end, all manner of phalluses. Needless to say, it's NSFW but also a must-watch (how's that for a paradox?).According to the band, "The song's about that gross feeling you get when you try to impress someone and instead find yourself looking sort of pathetic. We all catch ourselves in moments of bravado even if we don't think it in our character to be immodest or flashy.
