If you were (inexplicably) up watching VH1 Classic late last Thursday you'd've caught the trailer for Meliora, the new album from the theatrical Swedish occult rock outfit Ghost (B.C.), stuffed into a commercial break during an otherwise routine airing of Caddyshack. The ad also teases a new singer, Papa Emeritus III, whom Ghost swears is a different guy despite Papas I and II appearing to be the same person, and new masks for his backing band of Nameless Ghouls.

Just a few days later we get our first taste of Meliora with "Cirice," a six-minute return to the heavier sound some fans were bewildered to find the band deserting on 2013's Infestissumam. Sign up for the Ghost newsletter for a free download of "Cirice," or stream it below. Meliora's out 8/21 on Loma Vista Recordings.
