You'll Never Guess Who is Headlining Reading Festival

It's one of the bands we wished would never headline a festival again!

What do music fans want to watch live in 2016? Do they want to see Kendrick Lamar perform To Pimp a Butterfly in full? The Smiths reunion? Sophia Grace tearing up the main-stage with three different remixes of "Best Friends"? If you're parting with money for Reading Festival next year, you won't get to see any of those things but you will get to see someone equally special. You will get to see Red Hot Chili Peppers. Remember them? They've been around for longer than you've been alive.

In case you're 16 and reading this, the best Red Hot Chili Peppers songs are "Californication", "Under The Bridge", "Scar Tissue", and "By The Way". Once, an aeon ago, these guys performed with socks over their cocks, so maybe there will be some mild NSFW moments for your enjoyment too. If you're the type of person thinking "Red Hot Chilli Peppers? What the hell man! I'm 16! Haven't they been playing festivals for like two decades now!?" Then don't worry, we get you.

All in all, the Reading and Leeds festivals have really picked up their game recently, providing some of the best line-ups we've seen in recent years. Last year they had everyone from Young Thug and Vince Staples to Jamie xx and, umm, Limp Bizkit. And this year is no different, with Boy Better Know, Rat Boy and Slaves already appearing on the line-up. Check out the acts that've been announced below.
