That Swansea vs Crystal Palace Game Was Absolute Madness

What an exciting time to be at rock bottom.

Who would have guessed that a bottom-tier relegation battle between Crystal Palace and Swansea would have been one of the more exciting games of this EPL season? Nobody. Absolutely nobody. But contrary to low expectations for low tier teams, these are the times when the desperation kicks in, and weird shit happens.

Here's a nice numerical summary of what went down.

1-0 down.
3-1 up.
4-3 down.
5-4 up. Bob Bradley's Swansea are something.

Mind you, that's not even taking the time markers into account. Just to give you an idea of how quickly these last-ditch goals were coming, the score was 1-1 up until the 66th minute, when Swansea mounted a two goal run in just under three minutes. Then, that 3-1 --> 3-4, three-goal run from Palace came inat just under 10 minutes, starting in the 74th minute.

Then, just two seconds after the 90th minute ticked by, Swansea mounted yet another miracle run, in which Fernando Llorente caught a loose ball at the top of the box and sent it skipping into the net. Llorente became the bigtime hero on the day, as he found some scraps on the doorstep of Crystal Palace just two and a half minutes later and gobbled them up. Super Sub is a misnomer. The man was a Miracle Sub, saving face for the now second-to-last team on the table with their dreary nine points in 13 games. And not to mention giving American manager Bob Bradley his first ever win in the Premier League.

What an exciting time to be at rock bottom.
