Terrible Roars' 'Cottons' Will Transport You Back to Adolescence

Grab the keys to the '96 Volvo wagon and bump this while you drive on that lonely and long suburban road.

I don't know a single interesting person who had a really good time during high school. For most of us, it was a cavalcade of junk food, sexual frustration, acne, and strange hobbies. For me, there was one redeeming thing: I discovered some of my favorite music for the very first time. This song by Connecticut-based garage rock band Terrible Roars evokes some of these good memories of my adolescence, like driving fast in my mom's car bumping garage rock that Steve's cool older brother showed me.

This track, "Cottons," is an upcoming seven-inch single from the album Wolf Suit, which will be released in March on Seagreen Records. It's an lo-fi anthem that would come across as run-of-the-mill garage rock if not for the thoughtful vocals, which are reminiscent of 90s emo but without all the prepubescent yelping.
