William Shatner, the Canadian actor who played Captain James Tiberius Kirk in Star Trek, will soon go into space. At 90 years old, he will be the oldest person ever to venture to the stars, a record previously set by aviator Wally Funk during New Shepard’s inaugural human spaceflight this summer. Thankfully, he’s not going very far. Bezos’ dick shaped rocket takes its crew on a suborbital flight that hits a strip of the atmosphere between space and the end of Earth’s sky.Still, Shatner is worried. “I’m terrified. I’m Captain Kirk, and I’m terrified. I’m not really terrified—yes I am,” he told a New York Comic Con panel on October 7. “It comes and goes like a summer cold. I’m planning on putting my nose against the window, and my only hope is I won’t see someone else looking back.”
