Alex Jones accused of “endlessly leering” at women while shirtless at InfoWars

Two former employees filed eye-popping harassment complaints with the EEOC

Two former employees of Alex Jones, who runs the infamous InfoWars web series dedicated to far-right conspiracy theories, have alleged a culture of sexual harassment, racism, and other discrimination.

In a complaint filed earlier this month to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), a federal agency that monitors civil rights violations at workplaces, ex-InfoWars production assistant Ashley Beckford, who started working for InfoWars in 2016 and was fired in 2017, claims that she was groped by Jones. Beckford also alleges that she received unfair pay, benefits, and travel accommodations. Co-workers also allegedly made comments about her skin color and hairstyle and created a “hostile, sexually offensive work environment.”

Beckford, a black woman, said that while touching her butt, Jones said to others in the office: “Who wouldn’t want a black wife?”

“It's my opinion that it was his intention to see if he could groom me for sexual exploitation,” Beckford alleges in the complaint, which was obtained by the Daily Mail.

“Alex often spent his time shirtless, and endlessly leering, with or without a shirt, at female guests and employees while creating a disgusting, hostile environment,” Beckford alleges in the complaint.

Separately, video editor Rob Jacobson — who worked for Infowars for 13 years until he was fired in 2017 — alleged that he was called names like “The Jewish Individual,” “The Resident Jew,” and “Yacobson.” Jacobson filed a complaint with the EEOC earlier this month and is suing for discrimination.

“My employer also inserted my face onto the photo of a Hasidic Jewish man and circulated that picture around the office,” Jacobson alleges in documents also obtained by the Daily Mail.

Jacobson also alleges that he was called homophobic slurs — ”beefcake” — and Jones even allowed his friend Shane Steiner to display gay pornography on Jacobson’s computer.

Jones gave a lengthy, exasperated denial to the Daily Mail.

“I'm not going to talk about former employees,” Jones said, before going on to talk, at length, about his former employees. “I mean nobody accuses me of stuff like that. No, no, and in fact I'm not the type of person to say those kinds of things. So that's why my feelings are hurt. Wow. That's all I can say. That's total bullshit.”

Jones denied the allegations and threatened legal action.
